Sohajpreet Kaur, wife of Punjabi singer Gurvinder Brar & daughter of playwriter Ajmer Singh Aulakh alleged committed suicide on Tuesday. Her body was found hanging with the fan in her room by her son, Nazar. 37-year-old, Sohaj Preet also uses to share the stage with her husband for the live performances. Although her death has kept everyone shut in the family.
Police have been investigating the various aspects of her death, as no suicide note has been found in her room. Whereas there has been no statement from her family or singer’s family. Read out the details of the incident below.
Gurvinder Brar’s (Punjabi Singer) Wife Commits Suicide in Bathinda
Punjabi singer Gurvinder Brar’s wife Sohaj Preet has committed suicide in her resident in Bathinda on Tuesday. At first, the body of the deceased was seen by her 17-year-old son, Nazar, after which he raised the alarm to the family. And then the family members called the Police after that Police brought down the body from the ceiling & took Sohaj Preet to Civil Hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.
Postmortem of the Sohaj Preet’s body has been carried out by the Police & then it was handed over to the family members for her last rites.
The reason behind the suicide of Sohajpreet (Wife of Gurvinder Brar)
Sohaj Preet was married to Punjabi singer Gurvinder Brar on 9 Dec 1999, who has been known for his songs like Pehla Pehla Pyar, Vyah wala din, Miss Pooja & many other. Whereas her father Ajmer Singh Aulakh was an Award winning Punjabi playwriter (Sangeet Natak Akademy), who took his last breath on 15 June 2017. Although the reason behind Gurvinder Brar’s wife is still to be revealed, as Police have been investigating the case because no suicide note was recovered in her room. Also, no one else in the family has any hint of her extreme step. It has been said that she was depressed after the death of her father.
But still, Police has been investigating the case & will soon come out with the actual reason for Sohaj Preet’s death. Whereas the last rites have been performed by the family after her death in her hometown only.
